Songkran at the Erawan Museum

A good place to escape the waterfights of Songkran is The Erawan Museum. These days they organize activities during all of the major festivals in Thailand. For Songkran, they had traditional Thai dancing and water pouring for a Buddha image and an smaller image of the three-headed elephant. If you have never been to see the giant elephant then it is certainly worth the trip. The cost is 50 baht to enter the grounds and gardens or 150 baht to also have a tour of the museum and to go up into the belly of the elephant.
