Opening Ceremony For Songkran Parade

Mr. Surachai Kanasa, the Governor of Samut Prakan, formerly opened the Phra Pradaeng Songkran Festival at 2 p.m. on Sunday 18th April 2010. The Governor first paid respect to a statue of King Rama III. Then, after speeches, he led others in pouring water on a Buddha image, released birds and fish, poured water on the hands of elders, attempted to play Saba and then finally helped stir a Thai dessert called kalamae.
