Merit Making For Songkran 2010

On the morning of Tuesday 13th April 2010, Mr. Surachai Kanasa, Governor of Samut Prakan, and his wife, Mrs. Thongpin Kanasa, and their daughter, led other local people in making merit for the Songkran holidays. The event started at at 7.30 a.m. in front of the City Pillar in Paknam. The road had been closed earlier in the morning and about 140 tables had been set up on both sides of the road for about 150 meters. Alms were given to local monks which was followed by pouring rose scented water over an image of the Buddha and the hands of elders.
