Flooding Control Inspection

Mr. Surachai Kanasa, the Governor of Samut Prakan, went on an inspection on 1st December 2009, to check the measures being taken to prevent high tide floods in the city. He also discussed with Mr. Amnuay Rassamitat, Chief Executive of the PAO ideas to improve the situation for the following year. These included building a 4 kilometer long river front wall, raising the street level and enlarging water drains.  The next high tide floods in Paknam are expected this week with the peak being in the mornings of Sunday and Monday. The amount of water on the road depends a lot on how much floodwater and runoff is coming down the Chao Phraya River from up north.
